Katal at 5 - Dialogue Series #2

This year marks Katal's five-year anniversary, and on Wednesday, June 16th from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., we're hosting our next event in our Dialogue Series - can you join us?

We launched Katal in early 2016, with big goals to build movement leadership and organizing capacity and end mass incarceration and the war on drugs. We hit the ground running and haven't stopped since. We're hosting a series of public dialogues, online, about the broad themes that drive our work: equity, health, and justice.

We're hosting our second dialogue on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., with an amazing group of veteran Black organizers:

  • Dr. Charlene Sinclair, Founding director of the Center for Race, Religion, and Economic Democracy (C-RRED) and the program coordinator for the Interfaith Organizing Initiative;
  • DeAngelo Bester, Executive Director, Workers Center for Racial Justice (WCRJ;
  • Afua Atta-Mensah, Executive Director, Community Voices Heard;

In a conversation with Katal Co-Executive Director, Lorenzo Jones.

We'd love for you to join us. Our second event is follow up to our first Katal at 5 Dialogue Series and we promise the conversation will be lively, fun, and engaging. Register at bit.ly/katal-at-5.
